✉️ How to Access Your Email Through Webmail
Webmail allows you to access your email inbox directly through a web browser without needing to configure a desktop email client like Outlook or Thunderbird.
Step 1: Navigating to the Webmail Login Page
You can reach the dedicated webmail login portal by entering a specific URL into your web browser's address bar.
http://webmail.yourdomain.com
Please remember to replace yourdomain.com with your actual registered domain name.
Step 2: Entering Login Credentials
Once the webmail login page successfully loads, you will be prompted to enter the necessary credentials for the email account you wish to access:
- Username: This is your complete email address (e.g., user@yourdomain.com).
- Password: This is the specific password assigned to that email address when it was created in cPanel.
Step 3: Selecting an Email Client
After successfully logging in, you will be presented with a choice of webmail applications (typically Roundcube, Horde, and SquirrelMail). These applications offer different layouts and features. Select your preferred client to be redirected to your inbox and begin reading and sending emails.
Troubleshooting and Advice
- **Login Errors**: If you encounter a login error, first verify that the full email address is used for the Username. If the issue persists, the password may be incorrect. You must reset the email account password through the Email Accounts tool in your main cPanel dashboard.
- **Page Not Loading**: If the webmail URL does not load, the issue may be related to your domain's DNS being updated or your hosting firewall blocking your IP address. As a backup access method, try using your server's IP address followed by the webmail port (e.g., https://123.45.67.89:2096).
- **Choosing a Client**: We generally advise trying **Roundcube** first, as it is often the most modern, stable, and user-friendly interface. You can set any client as the default to skip the selection screen on future logins.
- **Storage Limits**: Webmail clients will show you your inbox contents, but they are subject to the storage quota you set for the email address in cPanel. If you cannot receive new emails, check your email account quota in cPanel and delete old messages to free up space.
