????️ How to Permanently Delete a MySQL User in cPanel
This guide details the process for removing an existing MySQL user from your cPanel account. Deleting a user does not delete the database itself, but the user will lose all access privileges to any databases they were previously assigned.
Step 1: Accessing the Database Management Tool
- Log in to your cPanel control panel.
- In the main cPanel interface, navigate to the Databases category and click on the MySQL Databases link.
Step 2: Identifying and Initiating User Deletion
- Scroll down the MySQL Databases page until you locate the section labeled Current Users.
- Find the specific user you wish to permanently remove from the list.
- Click on the deletion link or button (often represented by a small red "x" or a "Delete" link) associated with that user's name. This action will take you to a confirmation page.
Step 3: Confirming Permanent Removal
- On the confirmation screen, review the user name to ensure you are deleting the correct user.
- Click the final Delete User button to execute the permanent removal of the MySQL user.
The MySQL user has been deleted and will no longer be able to connect to any databases.
